How I Rate Things
Everything will be rated on a scale of one to ten. No decimals fractions or any other crap. That would make it a scale with twenty or more segments and I don't see the need for more than ten.
For there to be a ten there must be a one. Most things will fall between a four and a six. So a rating of five means that it was average. Not really a negative comment. In the sixty or seventy movies I see in the theatre and another fifty or so I watch on DVD there are maybe three that rate a ten and seven that rate a nine. Around seventy of them will be between a four and six.
Some things will require more detail than a single rating such as a movie may get a seven overall but a nine for action. I will try to give an overall rating that combines everything I feel in proportion to what I think is important.
I am going to write most of these entries on the spot, right after the experience, with an edit or two later on to tweak it or add more information.
If you disagree with my rating, start your own blog. I don't care to hear your opinion of my opinion. But if you write your own opinion of whatever I have rated, I may enjoy reading it.
